Every Summer Has A Story

This billboard always makes me happy.

One of mine and the husbands favorite summer pastimes is to take a drive after dinner before the sun goes down. We drive through the city with the windows down and his summer playlist blasting through the speakers.  These drives usually lead to our favorite ice cream spot where we indulge is some of the best custard ever. 

The pup tags along and watches out the windows and I just might let him sneak a few licks of my ice cream cone (when husband is looking of course).  We put our phones away and disconnect from the world wide web and the spider web of apps to simply spend time together- talking- like people use to do before smart phones decided to attach themselves to our appendages.

I know this doesn't sound like much but it's one my favorite things about summer.
