Neutrals meet Neon

Yay! It’s a another Bloggers Do It Better challenge. When I first read about the challenge I had no clue as to what I was going to wear- I almost didn’t even participate. I wasn’t really sure what qualified as a neon color to be honest- I had to consult my post-it-note collection.

When I think neon I think scary 80’s MC Hammer pants- I had a traumatizing moment as a child wearing such pants. But when I started thinking of neon as just bright vibrant color and not calling it “neon” the challenge became much easier.

Just as I was confused with what qualified as a neon… I also wasn’t sure what qualifies as a neutral- hence the two different looks. In my opinion navy counts as a neutral but for the nay-sayers I opted to do a 2nd look with a more “traditional” neutral.

BDIB: Prep School

Can I just say I love these Bloggers Do It Better challenges.  This assignment was prep school and a requirement was you had to wear a tie or bow tie. And can I just say husbands tie has been bringing in the compliments. The reason I love these challenges is that it makes me think out the box and put together something I might not normally do and like with today’s challenge I  put together a look I really love and I think it kind of suits me. Husbands tie collection better watch out.

New York is a very cool city. I kinda want to go live there for a bit. But more on New York later. Pictures and all.

Today I want to tell you about Pretty Shiny Sparkly which is a great blog by this very gorgeous girl name Kristina and Kristina has this very cool blogger challenge that she has started called Bloggers Do It Better and the latest challenge is White Out, hence why I am dressed in white today. It’s a lot of fun to take the seasons trends and apply them. If it wasn’t for this challenge I don’t think I would have ever put this outfit together. So thank you Kristina for giving me some inspiration.
